Sometimes many Christians lose faith in God. They become so worried that they wonder if God is working in their lives. The reason why it seems as if God is not working in our lives is because of our lack of faith and inability to recognize Jesus’s works in our midst.
In the gospel of Luke, chapter,11: 14-17, we read that “Jesus was driving out a demon that could not talk, and when the demon went out, the man began to talk. The crowds were amazed, but some people said, it is Beelzebub, the chief of the demons who gives him the power to drive them out. Others wanted to trap Jesus, so they asked him to perform a miracle to show that God approved of him”. The problem here is that the crowds were doubtful. Instead of filling their hearts with faith, they filled their hearts with doubts. Therefore, the reason it looks as If God is not working in our lives is that our hearts are full of doubt and unbelief in what God can do. Even when He does, it looks as if to us that He is not the one who is doing the work.
The problem today also is not that God is not working in our lives but our inability to recognize God’s goodness in our lives and also ,the fact that we are unable to recognize the power of Jesus working in our midst.
Take, for example, a married man with children, who is praying that God blesses his family but he forgets that some do not have a family. He needs to know that what he has some others do not have, therefore, he should be grateful to God. So also a woman who has one child prays, for more children but forgets that there are women who die while giving birth. She also forgets that some women are yet to conceive. But instead of being grateful to God, she loses faith in God because another child has not come. Another woman somewhere is worried and praying to conceive a child but forgets also that there is some other woman who is burning candles, booking Masses, and attending several vigils to get married. Instead of being grateful to God, she loses faith and fails to recognize the mighty power of God in her life. And the story goes on and on.
Whether we like it or not, what God does for us is more than we can understand. So , why it looks as if God is not working in our lives, is because of our inability to recognize the ones He is doing. Therefore, it is not that God is not working in our lives, it is because we have failed to recognize the goodness of God in our lives and in our midst.

This is so true whenever your faith in God is put to the rest. God answers all prayers but it may not be the answer you except. He knows our needs and the best time to give it to us.
Yes , Matthew. We are a people who doubt and are often times , inpatient
Awesome! Thanks immensely for this thought provoking article, Why lt Looks As lf God ls Not Workingon Our Life! No matter what, God is still the same God! He's the same yesterday, today and forever. He's not changed; and will never change! God is a Promise Maker; and also a Promise Fulfiller! He's a Covenant Keeper! God does work in the lives of mankind! He has good thoughts and plans for man! He desires to bless man!
Why it looks as if God is not working depends on man. As you rightly pointed out: doubt, unbelief, ingratitude, ungratefulness, selfishness are some of the reasons.
Again, lack of knowledge of the Person of God and His ways make it look as if God is not working. So man has to look inward and correct his wrong notion about God and begin to give God the thanks, praise, glory, worship, honour, adoration and exaltation due Him: and his eyes will be opened to God's love, goodness, kindness, grace, mercy, compassion, favour and faithfulness!
Thank you so much Mrs. Nduka for your beautiful comment. God bless you.
