JESUS IS LISTENING 2: DO NOT BE AFRAID

Jesus Christ is always our safe guard against the difficult temptations that we may have to undergo but remember that no matter the difficulties or temptations, we will win every battle with HIM at our side. Oh! how little is our faith when we doubt?

Too often we allow ourselves to be discouraged by circumstances such as sickness, work, reverses of fortune, opposition to us in our surroundings. This happens when our faith is weak and sometimes when we are afraid.

Fear is a phenomenon which covers almost every part of our lives. It is always a result of ignorance or selfishness stemming from an excessive concern of oneself or anxiety over things that will never happen but above all, it stems from the fact that security of our lives is based on a weak formation.

Jesus Christ is our constant security however; this does not mean that we should be insensitive to events but that we should have more confidence in using the human means at our disposal. We must never forget that to be close to Jesus even when HE appears to be asleep is to be safe. Remember what happened when the apostles were with HIM in a boat and He fell asleep. They panicked but when He woke up, HE commanded the waves to be still. Just trust in Jesus Christ and you will be safe.

When we are confused and going through unpleasant times, Jesus does not forget us. According to Saint Teresa, He never fails His friends. So, do not be afraid because you have Jesus as your Lord and friend.
