Healing is a central theme in many religious teachings, especially within Christianity, where it is believed that final healing comes from God. Across the Bible, numerous scriptures emphasize God’s power to heal not only physical ailments but also emotional, mental, and spiritual wounds. It is also said that many believers believe that faith is the foundation in God’s ability to restore health and provide comfort during times of illness.

We see an example of physical healing as reported in (Mark 7: 31- 37), a deaf and dumb man was brought to Jesus and Jesus restored him to normalcy. It was said ‘’Jesus takes him aside and away from the people who gathered around Him. He put His fingers into his ear and touched his tongue with spittle. With a deep sigh, Jesus looked up to heaven and said to him, ‘’Ephphatha, which means ‘’be open’’. Immediately, his ears opened and the tongue loosed.  This sends a message to us that if we want to be made well again, we need the presence of God. We are aware that the ministry of healing forms the core of Jesus’s work.  Remember the popular saying that the ‘’ The doctor can cure and help the sick, but true healing comes from God’’.  Our God is the only one who heals both natural and spiritual infirmity. He is also the one who brings us to life again when we are dead in sin therefore, we need God all the time to be spiritually, physically and emotionally alive.

There are many today who are passing through some sort of impediments. It may be impediment in your progress in life or that things are not going normal for you as you think it should be. I encourage you to take your case to God and present it before Him in prayer because He can heal you. Just as the upcoming minister of God, Maudlyn Chinelo Abajuo, said in her ministration on Facebook recently, that we should cry out to God and let Him know that we are tired of going with our own will and ask that His will be done in our life so that we can begin to prosper and our future begin to look like the kingdom of God. Whether we like it or not, we need God’s grace in everything we do.

Sometimes we become deaf to the things of God and we harden our hearts to His Word but when we find ourselves in this situation, we need Jesus to come into our hearts again. We need Him to speak directly to us and for that to happen, we need to grant Him access and open our hearts to Him. As people were the vehicle of healing of the deaf and dumb man in the bible, we can also today be the vehicle that God can use to heal those who have paid deaf ears to Him and many whose progress is impaired. We can do this through the things we say, do, work and write. We can be the answer to the prayer that someone has been saying since years now. Let us always be willing to help as much as we can. God works in His way, healing comes from God and God works in the way He wants and not the way we want. There are times when we pray and it looks as if the things we pray for do not come the way we want. We should know that God must not dance to our tune but, Will answer us at His own time.

Nevertheless, God heals all kinds of illness, be it physical healing as He miraculously healed the blind, the lame and those with leprosy as written in the bible. This shows that God has authority over physical illness. When it comes to emotional healing, God heals our emotional wounds such as, grief, anxiety and depression by offering comfort, peace and hope and for spiritual healing which is the greatest, it comes from the forgiveness of sins , the salvation of souls and reconciling individuals to God.

In conclusion, every healing comes from God, through faith, prayer, and trust in His divine will. And, God decides to answer our prayers whenever He wants and in whichever way He wants. Thus, believers can experience restoration in every aspect of their lives. Though, while medical interventions and human efforts are valuable, final healing and peace come from the Maker. Let us continue trusting in God’s timing as His purpose brings hope and assurance always to us.
